Overview

Presbyterian Homes & Services - Communications is seeking an Intern for its team.

 

This position supports the digital marketing team through assigned digital marketing, creative, and communication responsibilities. This individual is responsible for special projects and administrative duties/projects as assigned.

 

This is a temporary position that is anticipated to be 20-32 hours/week and available through the end of the 2026-2027 academic year.

Responsibilities

The Digital Marking Intern may contribute to projects in one or more of the following areas, depending on background and organizational needs:

 

 

Digital Strategy Execution

  • Support execution of digital strategies like SEM campaigns, Facebook Ads, etc. Assist in creating processes and templates for tracking and analyzing digital trends, insights, and campaign results.

Website Project

  • Create and organize website content for loading and publishing. Assist in creating communication plan for project updates. Troubleshoot issues by partnering with vendor and internal contacts. Perform website content updates as needed. Ensure tracking is set up and functioning and help create dashboards in Google Analytics.

Social Media

  • Collect and disseminate stories on social media sites like Facebook. Research options to streamline the process and track metrics using tools like Hootsuite, Sprout Social, etc.

Online Reputation

  • Perform audit of online directories and support process for maintaining and monitoring PHS community listings and reviews.  

In addition to the projects outlined above, projects may be assigned to support Digital Marketing and Communication team.

Qualifications

  • Intern should be working toward obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communication, or a related business degree.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Video editing experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail while juggling multiple priorities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Possess the ability to deal sensitively and tactfully with customers (employees, visitors, vendors and the general public).
  • Must function independently, have personal integrity, flexibility, and the ability to work effectively with other facility personnel.
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
  • Demonstrated compatibility with the PHS mission and operating philosophies.
  • Demonstrated ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language to communicate with all customers.

Pay Range

The starting pay for this role is $18 per hour.
