Presbyterian Homes & Services Carondelet Village is seeking a full time Health Information Specialist for its team. The Health Information Specialist is responsible for overall resident clinical record quality in the care center. The Health Information Specialist is responsible for organizing and maintaining medical records for residents consistent with regulations, policies and procedures and established best practices.
SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday
REPORTING STRUCTURE: The Health Information Specialist reports to the Health Information Director, Clinical Administrator, Clinical Coordinator or designee.
ABOUT THIS COMMUNITY
• Maintain overall resident clinical record quality in accordance with established procedures and regulations.
• Monitor the medical record for completeness and accuracy. This includes but is not limited to gathering and organizing information for resident/patients’ health records, processing forms for admissions, readmissions, discharges and resident transfers, organizing, thinning and destroying health records per policy, completing ICD-9 coding for all new residents/patients and on an ongoing basis for current residents/patients.
