Overview

Presbyterian Homes & Services Management and Services is seeking a Special Projects Manager to serves as a key member of the President's Office at Presbyterian Homes & Services (PHS).

 

This position requires exceptional project management skills and operational insight to ensure successful outcomes in a dynamic and purpose-driven environment and is dedicated to advancing high-priority strategic initiatives that impact organizational goal areas.


REPORTING STRUCTURE
The Special Projects Manager works in the President’s Office, reporting directly to the Vice President of Administration. This position works collaboratively and cross-functionally with many internal departments and provides matrixed support to help execute strategic priorities.

Responsibilities

With a focus on innovation and collaboration, the Special Projects Manager will lead complex projects, optimize processes and align efforts to support PHS's mission to honor God by enriching the lives and touching the hearts of older adults.

 

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Strategic Project Management
    • As the responsible project owner, lead and ensure timely execution of strategic initiatives, through to final completion and operationalization in collaboration with the President's Office and executive leadership.
    • Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets to ensure successful implementation of key organizational priorities.
    • Conduct research, analyze data, and provide recommendations to support decision-making.
    • Lead diverse project teams, in accordance with PHS management system best practices, administering the work of the team to minimize burden on operating units.
    • Partner with the IT team to support the successful deployment and integration of new organizational technologies and process automation initiatives.
  •  Organizational Event Management
    • Partner with cross-functional teams to support planning and logistics for large organizational events.
    • Responsible for production and event planning of the PHS annual retreat, an 800+ person event for organizational leaders to further alignment, engagement and execution of the One PHS Plan.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration
    • Partner with cross-functional teams and senior leadership to drive alignment and achieve project outcomes.
    • Prepare reports, presentations, and updates for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Operational Excellence
    • Identify opportunities to improve processes, enhance resident and employee experience, and reduce costs while maintaining the high standards of PHS.
    • Work closely with teams to implement and evaluate innovative solutions that align with organizational goals.
    • Support the work of the President’s Office in delivering upon strategic priorities and special projects as otherwise requested.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred, preferably in business administration, project management, information technology or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations, business management, project management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience managing complex projects in a healthcare or senior living environment.
  • Strong financial, analytical, technological and problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering measurable outcomes.
  • Knowledge of senior living, long-term care, or healthcare systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in project management tools, methodologies, and planning.
  • Proficient in identifying, synthesizing, and analyzing data that is beneficial to the project and organization.
  • Ability to lead interdisciplinary project teams in a collaborative manner to deliver measurable outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while meeting desired timelines.
  • Understanding of the unique needs of senior living environments, with a commitment to the faith-based values-based decision-making that aligns with PHS’s mission and vision.
  • Collaborative, service-oriented leader with high emotional intelligence.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Detail-oriented, adaptable, and committed to organizational excellence.
  • Ability to travel regionally and nationally as required to ensure success of projects. (PHS currently has interests in Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, Tennessee, and Washington, and travels for potential partner engagement opportunities and conferences nationally.)

 

Pay Range

The estimated starting pay range for this role is $101,234-$126,526 per year. This good faith estimate is based upon PHS’s typical starting pay range for this role. Actual pay range depends on many factors including each individual employee’s qualifications and market conditions and is subject to change.

Full-time benefits-eligible employment begins at a minimum of 30 hours per week:
