The Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for effectively planning, implementing, organizing and coordinating the volunteer program to enhance the care and services for Optage Meals. The Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for recruiting and screening volunteers for the Optage Meals program. The Volunteer Coordinator is responsible to manage recruitment, selection, orientation, supervision, evaluation, placement and supervision and retention of all volunteers; develop and lead volunteers to achieve desired outcomes at the individual as well as program level; establish recruitment and retention methods to enhance and maintain the program. Plan and implement the volunteer training program and volunteer orientation; design and plan training in accordance with regulatory requirements and to maintain records and required files on all volunteer team members.
Proven management and supervisory skills.
Experience as a volunteer.
Demonstrated organizational skills.
Valid Minnesota Driver’s license and proof of insurance.
Demonstrated computer proficiency including Microsoft Office and other common computer programs.
Demonstrated compatibility with PHS' mission and operating philosophies.
Demonstrated ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language to communicate with all customers.
