Overview

Presbyterian Homes & Services - Koala Bear Child Care/Lake Minnetonka Shores is seeking a Full-Time Teacher to join its team. This child care center offers placement for children ages 6 weeks through Pre-K for both community and employee children.

 

The need for this position would be 31.5 hours per week. Scheduled hours would be:

Monday- 1:00pm-5:30pm

Tuesday- 1:00pm-5:30pm

Wednesday- 8:00am-5:30pm

Thursday- 1:00pm-5:30pm

Friday-8:00am-5:30pm

 

There are options to pick up hours as available. Must be comfortable with children of all ages and also with intergenerational programming. Must also be teacher certified.

Responsibilities

This position is a co-teacher position working with children between the ages of six weeks to 5 years, depending on classroom assignment. Intergenerational interaction is highly encouraged in this setting. This position is responsible for all aspects of the Child Care Program, including intake, filing, organizing and maintaining participant files. Also responsible for providing children with a educationally stimulating learning experience and a safe, nurturing environment.

Qualifications

  • Requirements Teaching certification and/or a 4-year degree in Child and Family Studies or related degree.
  • Demonstrated positive attitude, integrity, dependability and compassion.
  • Demonstrated compatibility with PHS's mission and operating philosophies.
  • Demonstrated ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language to communicate with all customer.
