    Healthcare Scholarship Job and Training Opportunity


    Do you want to help others and make a difference? Boutwells Landing is offering this opportunity for ages 16 and older, to be interviewed for Resident Assistant positions at their Stillwater Campus.  Those who are chosen will be awarded a scholarship to attend the Nursing Assistant/Home Health Aide course at Century Community College.  Upon successful completion of this state approved course, students will take the state test to be officially placed on the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry. 


    Candidates chosen for the scholarship may choose to work while attending the classes or they can start their employment at Boutwells Landing after completing the classes (we currently have full and part time positions open)*.  This is a combined value of $1,128! 


    If you would like to interview for one of these positions the deadline for applications is February 10, 2020 and February 24, 2020. Interviews will take place at Boutwells Landing. Candidates who are interviewed and selected for this position will receive a conditional job offer and will need to successfully complete the pre-employment health screen, Tuberculosis Blood Test, and criminal background check prior to beginning the program on either February 18, 2020 or March 2, 2020.

    If you are under 18, and you receive a conditional job offer and scholarship, you will receive a parental permission slip that will need to be returned to proceed. This permission slip will allow you to complete the pre-employment health screen, Tuberculosis Blood Test, and criminal background check prior to beginning the program.

    Skills labs will be held on:

                                         Boutwells Landing                                    Waverly Gardens

                                     February 18 to March 3                    March 2 to March 18, March 23

                                     from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm                          from 4:00 pm to 10:00 pm


                                                                       Clinicals will be held:

                                   Tuesday and Wednesday                              Friday and Saturday  

                                         March 4 and 5                                     March 21 and 22

                              from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm (March 4)                 from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm

                              from 6:30 am t0 3:00 pm (March 5)            


                                                                             Online work:

    There will be 16 hours of online work you will need to complete as well


                                                                          State Test Date:

                              March 16, 2020 at 4:30 to 8:30 PM         March 30, 2020 at 4:30 to 8:30 pm




    The Certified Nursing Assistant, CNA (Resident Assistant) is responsible for the provision of high quality personal care and services to residents to support the Personally Designed Living choices of residents, while maintaining consistency with regulations and established best practices.


    • Demonstrated competencies in person-directed, elder/resident-directed practice, home building, critical thinking, teamwork, self leadership, and interpersonal effectiveness.
    • Demonstrated compatibility with the PHS mission and operating philosophies.
    • Demonstrated ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language to communicate with all customers.
