    Presbyterian Homes & Services Foundation is seeking a Donor Information and Prospect Research Manager for its team. This is a full-time, benefit eligible position reporting to the Executive Director of the Presbyterian Homes Foundation.  This position will be responsible for donor and prospect research and will serve as the primary backup to the Gift Processing Manager.




    This development professional is responsible for leading prospect research and donor information management.  This position will be responsible for donor and prospect research and will serve as the primary backup to the Raiser’s Edge Database Manager. Responsibilities include: Identify necessary research tools to gather pertinent donor information; Design, develop, implement, and coordinate methodologies for prospect research, criteria for analysis and review, procedures for written confidential research materials, and systems for distribution and retrieval; Lead prospect research, creation of prospect reports, and prospect and donor record updates; Develop and implement a suspect and prospect tracking and management system; Design systems to identify new major and planned giving donor prospects utilizing all available resources; Assure the accumulation and orderly storage of source documents and supporting materials (hard copy and electronic); Suggest cultivation, solicitation and stewardship strategies based on research findings and conclusions; Ensure timely delivery of vital prospect data; Identify possible funders (corporations, foundations, social/civic organizations and churches) for organization’s funding priorities.


      • Bachelor’s degree required; experience in fund development environment preferred.
      • Experience in progressive research, with a focus on major/deferred gifts preferred.
      • Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office applications; familiarity with Crystal reports, LexisNexis and Research Point helpful. Demonstrated knowledge of computer software applications, such as Raiser’s Edge fundraising software or an equivalent constituent relationship management software platform.
      • Ability to work in a collaborative manner (as a team member) with Supervisor, Database Manager, all Foundation colleagues, and PHS employees;
      • Ability to work with PHS IT department and Blackbaud as needed for technical support.
      • Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously, meets deadlines, and identifies and resolves exceptions data.
      • Ability to interpret and verify data
      • Ability to enter and manage gift acknowledgements as primary backup to gift processing manager when workload requires and as needed.
      • Demonstrated leadership ability including the ability to ensure accuracy and confidentiality of donor information.
      • Excellent interpersonal, written/oral communication and organizational skills.
      • Results oriented—create accurate and timely donor research profiles; ability to meet deadlines.
      • Sound judgment, willingness to listen and learn, knows when to ask questions, and ability to inspire confidence among colleagues as well as external constituents.
      • Demonstrated ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language to communicate with all customers.
