Presbyterian Homes & Services - Presbyterian Homes of Bloomington is seeking a full time Admissions Nurse for its team. This position will support the Transition Care Unit with the prospective resident admission process along with on floor admission process when a resident arrives.
SCHEDULE/HOURS: This position will provide admissions coverage 1:00 PM - 9:30 PM weekdays with a rotating weekend schedule. There is flexibility in determining hours of work when resident needs can be met.
REPORTING STRUCTURE: This position reports to the Clinical Administrator.

The Admissions Nurse is responsible for providing high quality patient/resident care services and to increase their satisfaction by facilitating and managing all aspects of the nursing admission process including: assessment of patients/residents upon admission for appropriateness of admission, coverage and level of care determination; communication with internal staff regarding coverage and contract details; proactively work with multidisciplinary team to manage care, costs and discharge planning; and utilization review for all payer types, including Medicare, Managed Care and other third party payer systems.
