    Facilities Maintenance/Building Engineer

    Orchard Path Senior Housing  in Apple Valley is seeking a highly motivated, full time Building Engineer, this is a 40 hours per week position and includes periodic on-call rotation responsibilities. 


    This Building Engineer position is responsible for all aspects of the maintenance and repair of building mechanical systems including boilers, HVAC systems, plumbing, life-safety, spa, electrical, kitchen equipment, etc.  Other responsibilities include general building and grounds care,  apartment turns consisting of painting,  wall and other repair,  carpet and hard floor care.   This is a hands-on, interesting, and fun position for the right person who wants to grow and learn in a technical environment. 


    Presbyterian Homes-Orchard Path  is a senior housing development located on Cobblestone Lake in Apple Valley.  The Orchard Path community includes senior independent living, assisted living and memory care apartments, , a large arboretum, movie theatre, bistro, and many other amenities.





    Create a safe and secure environment by maintaining the buildings, grounds, and equipment in a safe and efficient manner, consistent with regulations and established policies, procedures and best practices. Maintain an attractive campus appearance consistent with the PHS design intent. Execute assigned responsibilities for buildings and grounds as defined by the site leadership.  Assignments may include; floor care, resident moves, remodeling, painting, building maintenance, customer requests, landscape care, snow removal, pools and other projects. 


    • Demonstrated ability to perform Level III core competencies specific to job as defined by site requirements.
    • Able to work independently, multi task, follow directions and work under supervision.
    • Relate well and provide a professional image and services to all customers.
    • Demonstrated compatibility with PHS's mission and operating philosophies.
    • Demonstrated ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language to communicate with all customers.
