  • Overview

     

    Presbyterian Homes-Folkestone of Wayzata is seeking a highly motivated, full-time first shift Level III Maintenance Engineer. This position is responsible for direct oversight and repair of HVAC systems to include heat pumps and other related mechanical systems, building maintenance and engineering work including preventive maintenance of building systems, plumbing and electrical troubleshooting and repairs, life-safety systems, and security systems. Additionally, repair and maintenance from daily work orders, snow removal, and participation in a 12 week on-call rotation. This is a hands on Level III position.

     

    This position requires a high school diploma and a minimum of 5 years experience in building engineering or trade school equivalence. Heat Pump experience and Special Boilers License preferred.

     

    SCHEDULE/HOURS:  Monday through Friday 8:30am-5:00pm, and occassional weekend hours as needed.

     

    REPORTING STRUCTURE: You will report directly to the Environmental Services Director.

    Responsibilities

    Create a safe and secure environment by maintaining the buildings, grounds, and equipment in a safe and efficient manner, consistent with regulations and established policies, procedures and best practices. Maintain an attractive campus appearance consistent with the PHS design intent. Execute assigned responsibilities for buildings and grounds as defined by the site leadership.  Assignments may include; floor care, resident moves, remodeling, painting, building maintenance, customer requests, landscape care, snow removal, pools and other projects. 

    Qualifications

    • Demonstrated ability to perform Level III core competencies specific to job as defined by site requirements.
    • Able to work independently, multi task, follow directions and work under supervision.
    • Relate well and provide a professional image and services to all customers.
    • Demonstrated compatibility with PHS's mission and operating philosophies.
    • Demonstrated ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language to communicate with all customers.
